10 New Personal Watercraft Inventions available in 2019 – 2020

– [Glen] Summer is finally here and we are all looking
forward to being on the water for some fantastic fun and games. These personal watercraft
help to get you out there in high-flying fashion. I’m Glen and today we’re showing
you 10 personal watercraft that will be available in 2019 and 2020, so enjoy the ride! (upbeat techy music) – [Woman] Number 10. – [Glen] The Mantra is a cafe style racer made for the water and is going to come in
two limited edition models with 340 of the standard models and 340 of the RS models made. A personal watercraft that is powered by a Honda GX390 mega marine engine, the Mantra has intake and
exhaust for USCG compliance and a customized fuel system. The hull, built with a standard
boat building technique using glass reinforced plastic,
helps get higher speeds of up to about 50 miles
per hour for the RS model and 37 miles per hour
for the standard model. A wing design gives this better stability and the aerodynamics help provide lift for drifting style turns and
more exceptional performance in the water. – [Woman] Number nine. – [Glen] Naish, a manufacturer
in the sport of foiling has come out with a new kind of handheld, inflatable board riding wing-surfer. A cross between a kite boarding kite and a wind surfing sail,
the Naish wing-surfer has no hardware, strings, or rigging. Made with the same high
quality construction and materials of their
kite boarding kites, these are light weight,
stable, and perfectly balanced. Integrated handles along the center strut provide secure and comfortable handling and the one point inflation system allows for quick inflation
of the wing-surfer. For easy transportation, the
wing deflates in seconds, and fits into a handy
backpack that is included. To go along with the wing,
Naish also has a full line of products including
foils, boards, and kites for any of your foiling needs. – [Woman] Number eight. – [Glen] Jason Woods
introduced the Kymera jet board in 2011, which went electric a year later, the body board in 2016, and now has announced the Kymera K-X2, which will be available later this year or early 2020 for the first buyers. The K-X2 will include
two standard batteries with transport cases,
two high speed chargers, and comes with a one year warranty. The 70 pound watercraft is
lighter than competing products, has 10,000 watts of electric power, and will go up to 35 miles per hour. The removable battery
charges in around two hours and runs for about an hour
of mixed use per charge. – [Woman] Number seven. – [Glen] Making amphibious
crafts for 17 years, Sealegs has come out with
their latest vehicle, the electric E4. A little bit bigger than
everything else on this list at 24 feet, it is still
a lot of fun on the beach or in the water. It’s faster, quieter, has longer run times than previous models, and is
aimed at international buyers as well as the domestic ones. Due to not needing a second gas engine, the Sealegs is more flexible
with the interior design of the craft. The X lounge cockpit can seat eight people and all the seating and the sunbed are upholstered in
diamond-stitched black vinyl. This features a folding
table that includes graphics and embedded LED lights,
padded and corner seats on the tubes, and an aft-facing bench seat with underneath storage. – [Woman] Number six. – [Glen] Japanese company Yanmar, known for robotic agriculture
equipment and diesel engines, also makes watercraft and is
set to release the Wheeebo that works kind of like a
Segway, but for the water. Due to be released next year, this is a floating disc
with a propeller underneath, which you stand on and
shift your body weight to change the direction of travel. Integrated sensors detect
the sense in weight and cause the board to turn, accelerate, and stop when necessary. The Wheeebo has a one hour run time with the nickel hydrogen battery pack and is intended for use on calm waters. – [Woman] Number five. – [Glen] The Easygoat electric hydrofoil is made by Cabratec in the Czech Republic, has a carbon front wing, an inner board that is waterproof, and
a U-shaped aluminum mast. The lightweight e-foil is
silent, easy, and safe to ride. The lithium ion battery
gets 50 minutes on a charge and the large propellor
and five horsepower motor give this a top speed
of 22 miles per hour. A new remote control comes
with three throttle modes including pro, normal, and beginner. It is waterproof and floatable
and includes four screens for board battery percentage,
real time GPS speed, pause, and throttle mode. The Easygoat assembles in five minutes and requires a registration
and boat license in most countries. – [Woman] Number four. – [Glen] Cabrinha released
the new autopilot foil board and three new foils in their foil range, the HI:RISE CARVE and the HI:RISE VARIAL, which comes in two
sizes, medium and large. The all new foil board takes Cabrinha into the next generation of surfing. With a remastered design, it’s a pioneering
experience in foil boarding. A modern, high lifting wind set, the Carve is highly maneuverable and is a new level of fun and performance. Their most progressive wing
sets are the Varial wings, which are adaptable to
kite surfing, wake surfing, surfing, and sub. Another new product for
2020, the Moto kite, can be used for a wide
variety of conditions and is perfect for free surf,
foil boarding, and free ride. This works best in
challenging wind conditions and is lighter in weight
and has a quicker response than most kites. – [Woman] Number three. – [Glen] Kymera, who had the
K-X2 from earlier in the video is also coming out with
two more products in 2020. The Kymera kayak and a surfboard can be reserved on their website with a $500 refundable deposit. The kayak weighs 65
pounds with the paddle, gets a battery range of up to 20 miles, has a top speed of up
to seven miles per hour, and costs just about $3,000. The surf board weighs 45 pounds, including the 24 pound battery, has a mixed use one hour range, gets a top speed of up
to 25 miles per hour, and costs almost $5,000. All the Kymera watercraft,
including the bodyboard, use the same battery for convenience. – [Woman] Number two. – [Glen] Expected to
ship in August of 2019, the Easy Eddy three piece
stand up paddle board is designed to assemble
in less than 30 seconds and fit in the trunk of your car. To assemble the board, you
slide the pieces together and secure the sections
with the attached clamps. Made in Leominster, Massachusetts, the paddle board is made
with recyclable materials, comes with a two year warranty, and features a retractable
fin, cup holder, and a waterproof storage hatch. Some of the additional
accessories available are a carry strap,
included with every board. And for an extra charge, you
can get a deluxe rolling case, a three piece aluminum handled paddle, or the Easy Eddy add-on pack. – [Woman] Number one. – [Glen] The Solo SF 150
is a new and improved personal watercraft with patents, technology,
and design changes that will let you go
water skiing by yourself. No driver or spotter needed. A clam shell clamps on the
center of your tow rope handle and communicates with a device embedded in Solo’s custom life vest. The device communicates
wirelessly with the boat and acts as a safety feature. The engine on the ski machine will not run if the vest is more than
40 feet from the vehicle. And it also features a
remote retrieval and GPS to return the boat to you. This also includes a depth sounder that helps keep you off
the beach and sand bars. Another significant feature
is the MEMS technology that keeps the boat
running in a straight line, no matter how hard you
pull on the tow rope. (light music) – Hi everyone, and thank you for watching. I’m Woman, with Mind’s Eye Design. We’d love to hear your feedback, so please leave some comments below and let us know your

I appreciate Glen’s pronunciation of Leominster, Mass. (8:33) My father played college baseball in that area in the early 1940s. He made sure to teach me the proper pronunciation of that city when I was a kid. Kudos, Glen!!

The very last one is the most worth less thing ever. For wake boarding you need a good wake. A jet ski wake is completely useless for wakeboarding.

I still have sketches and drawings for a personal watercraft, one that you'd sit on and pedal swim fins, similar to float-tubing, but a small craft design. Just small enough to fit in back seat of most cars. Could be mass-produced in various sizes. That would allow children to use one in a small pool, just kicking their feet, for propulsion. Ocean fishermen could paddle bait out past breakers. More advanced designs had pole holders for fishing, drink cup, umbrella. Along the shape of an F-117 stealth fighter, to cut through waves…lol
