Have we romanticized the greatest injustice in history? | Quincy
I think every year it’s something different. depending where you’re at in life but this year coming into it I’m struck by the injustice that Jesus had to endure. The fact that he was paraded out in front of all these people and treated as a criminal is criminal in itself. We have the tendency of when we look back 2000 years later of this sacrifice of Jesus being so honourable and beautiful and we romanticize the whole thing but if you go back and understand what was happening at the time of just the, the shame and the embarrassment and the things that he had to endure in that process there was nothing romantic or beautiful about any of it. It was shameful and humiliating and that he would walk through all of this and take it on our behalf that the God of justice the greatest judge would now say or allow his son to go through and be the victim of the greatest injustice ever.
