headed I’m done my experience of revolution it doesn’t move in a straight line it moves in waves you have periods in which the revolution is very much on top and effective and then gradually it tires out at which point the counter-revolution takes over until such point at which the revolution has gathered at strength again and then it fights again and of course that is a slightly diminishing process as it goes on and gradually certain elements stabilized but I think that we are still in a period in which massive changes are possible there are very there are many aspects of things which we don’t yet we don’t know how the dust are settled on it’s unclear right now whether we’re in a period in which the next 30 years will be one in which the Muslim Brotherhood is predominantly leading the country or whether within the next five to ten years we’ll be seeing that there will be massive fluxes in which the various different powers that are at play right now in terms of fighting for a stake in the future fight us out democratically in one form or another changing the institutions of the country and gradually making something that seems to reflect the various hopes that were present at the beginning of this revolution and I think it’s too early to tell what I hope for Egypt is that it it keeps the the essential optimism that was that that was there at the beginning of this revolution and remains there before the Revolution you were very much in a country in which people said there’s no point this country is never going to change I want to leave this country forget it and after the Revolution you’re in a state in which people think people feel a sense of ownership feel that the future is something that they might be able to have a stake in that they might be able to help make now of course there have also been the realities that have come subsequently of how difficult that is and the kind of energy that it requires the persistence that it requires the ability to overcome difficulties that seem insurmountable but so long as you keep the energy to keep going no matter what those difficulties I believe you have a country that has a future you
