SIMILE – as high as a kite – everyday English expression

Hi! I’m Cate from the Studio of English
and today, we’re going to be focusing on the simile, ‘as high as a kite’ which is
often used in everyday conversations in English. It simply means to feel very
happy and excited so we could use this whenever we want to express that we’re
feeling a high level of joy and excitement. So, let’s give you an example.
We could say, Lisa just got the job she always wanted.
She’s as high as a kite. So, that’s it for this short simile lesson. Thanks so much
for watching and I’ll see you in the next video!
